Contributors

Contributors

A simple path from idea to published story.

Contributor pages and bylines are powered by WordPress user profiles. The public reader sees a display name, article archive, and any bio details the contributor chooses to share.

Workflow

01

Pitch

Start with one clear claim, question, or observation. The best pieces know what they are trying to help the reader understand.

02

Draft

Use a contributor post template: headline, deck, context, evidence, media, sources, and a short review checklist.

03

Review

Editors check structure, sourcing, media credits, captions, readability, and whether the piece is ready for publication.

Public Byline Data

  • Display name: shown on post bylines and archives.
  • Bio: optional profile text from the WordPress user profile.
  • Author archive: each contributor has a public archive at /author/name/.
  • Media: images, embeds, and source links should include captions or context.

Contributor profile pages should stay short. The article should be the main thing.

Ready

Send an idea, source set, draft, or media concept.
