Start with one clear claim, question, or observation. The best pieces know what they are trying to help the reader understand.
Draft
Use a contributor post template: headline, deck, context, evidence, media, sources, and a short review checklist.
Review
Editors check structure, sourcing, media credits, captions, readability, and whether the piece is ready for publication.
Public Byline Data
- Display name: shown on post bylines and archives.
- Bio: optional profile text from the WordPress user profile.
- Author archive: each contributor has a public archive at
/author/name/. - Media: images, embeds, and source links should include captions or context.
Contributor profile pages should stay short. The article should be the main thing.
